I struggled in high school math. I struggled in computer science and college algebra. I struggled on the math portion of my praxis exam (which by the way, I either passed by 2 points or failed by 1...the praxis grading system is a complete mystery to me). And I am not expecting a prob. & stat. class to be any different.
But today might be an anomaly. My professor has been teaching this subject for 52 years which means two things. 1. He really knows how to teach this subject and 2. he is like a nice (and also kind of sassy) grandpa who tells you stories of his childhood. Except his stories are about probability and statistics rather than walking to school in 4 feet of snow.
I managed to follow him through most of his lesson and even answered a handful of questions right (I'm telling you, this never happens to me with math). The thing about prob and stat is that its not as mathematical. Its not a natural science and I think my brain can follow it better. And a high school prob and stat class under my belt probably doesn't hurt.
I can't believe I am saying it, but, by George, I am grateful for my math class.
p.s. a little peak at the wedding this past weekend...everything went wonderfully! More photos later!
I'm so grateful for your math class!!! :) Seriously! How much math does one artist have to take??!! Hope it stays interesting!
