Florian Maier-Aichen

Ever since visiting Wyoming last summer I have been craving mountain landscapes. German photographer Florian Maier-Aichen's work depicts some of these awe-inspiring vistas.  What's different, however, about his landscape photography from, say, your average "look there's a cool mountain, let's take a picture of it" photos is that his work evokes a sense of other-worldliness. There is a mystique and freshness to his photographs that make you think both, "Perhaps I have seen this landscape before" and "I've never quite seen anything like this"
